SOTTO SOTTO ITALIAN RESTAURANT

I’m bringing you possibly the best Italian restaurant in Bath!

Firstly, You must book in advance because it gets booked up pretty quickly, and rightly so.
This little gem, resembling a cavernous cellar in Italy is a beautifully unique setting, dimly lit, with gorgeous exposed stone walls, creating a lovely atmosphere. A stunning little restaurant located a stone’s throw away from the roman baths – a perfect location and super easy to get to.

At Sotto Sotto they pride themselves on simple Italian recipes with fresh local produce.

The prawn starter was possibly the best I have ever had. It was so simple, it was of such high quality that the food speaks for itself, the sauce was packed full of flavour, placed on the tastiest rustic Tuscan bread. It was so spongey and airy inside but with a gorgeous crunchy crust – a solid 10/10!

For mains, I had the salmon risotto. It was so delicate and made with both smoked and fresh salmon, lemon and a dash of wine. The taste was unreal! Zesty, smokey, and salty, and you could taste the hint of wine which I am a huge fan of.

This is the Pistachio crusted lamb and rosemary potatoes, one of the most popular dishes on the menu. I’d seen it recommended on reviews on TripAdvisor and urged bill to try it, a tasty indulgent meal for meat lovers!

The prawn starter was under £10, and the risotto main was £15, The lamb was the most expensive item and that was £29.95 which I think is reasonable considering how tasty the food was and the experience in such a unique setting.
The perfect restaurant for a birthday or romantic anniversary, and at such a reasonable price, it’s even better!

If you are considering visiting Bath, you must put this little gem on your itinerary.
